About Our Doctor

Daryl David Wier, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Daryl David Wier is a board-certified surgeon specializing in laparoscopic, bariatric (weight loss) and general surgery at the Center for Digestive and Metabolic Surgery in Orlando.

Dr. Wier received his medical degree from Louisiana State University, and completed his residency training in General Surgery at the Louisiana State University Medical Center. Dr. Wier also completed a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the Memorial Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

Upon completion of his medical training, Dr. Wier entered into private practice in Jacksonville in 1985. He has practiced at several other Florida locations, including as a partner of Surgical Associates of Central Florida, before beginning the Center for Digestive and Metabolic Surgery in 2008.

In addition to his practice experience, Dr. Wier is also involved with several professional organizations, including:
